Blackwall Raises $100M Series C at $2.2B Valuation for Web Traffic Security

Estonia-headquartered cybersecurity and web-traffic management company Blackwall announced it raised $100M in a Series C funding round led by AVP, valuing the company at $2.2B. Existing investors Dawn Capital, MMC Ventures, and Tera Ventures participated in the round to help expand the company globally and deepen its platform for web-hosting companies, cloud providers, and managed service providers. Blackwall's flagship GateKeeper product filters malicious bots, application-layer DDoS attacks, and brute-force login attempts before they reach client applications, alongside firewall, load balancing, and optimization tools that separate legitimate and AI traffic from attackers. Originally known as BotGuard before rebranding in March 2025 after the digital AI barrier in the video game Cyberpunk 2077, the company offers modular security features that hosting providers can bundle and sell as their own products.
