Blockchain Association CEO Mersinger Steps Down, Kristin Smith Returns to Interim Post

The Blockchain Association is overhauling its leadership, with CEO Summer Mersinger scheduled to step down on October 16. Former CEO Kristin Smith will return on October 17 as interim chief while maintaining her current position as president of the Solana Policy Institute. Mersinger isn't completely exiting the organization and will remain as an advisor through the end of the year. The transition occurs as the industry's legislative push for the Clarity Act stalls out in the Senate, despite passing the House last year.
