Gemini Inks Apex Fintech Deal to Distribute Regulated Crypto Prediction Markets

Gemini partners with Apex Fintech Solutions to distribute regulated crypto prediction markets to retail brokerages. Gemini and Apex signed a non-binding letter of intent making Gemini Titan the exclusive venue for crypto event contracts offered through Apex's Futures Commission Merchant. Participating brokerage firms will use Gemini directly for trade execution and clearing. Apex provides trading infrastructure to hundreds of financial firms that serve tens of millions of investors. Gemini secured CFTC approval to operate a designated contract market in December 2025 and clear derivatives in-house in April. The move follows a Washington state ruling ordering Kalshi to halt event contracts after rejecting federal preemption arguments. Crypto exchanges are rushing toward established clearing brokers because standalone retail platforms are running out of regulatory room to operate in.
