SpaceX Secures $950M NASA Extension for Three More ISS Flights

NASA expanded its Commercial Crew Transportation Capability contract with SpaceX, awarding the company up to $946 million to conduct three additional crewed Dragon flights to the International Space Station through 2030. The extension brings SpaceX's total missions under the commercial crew program to 17, pushing its total earnings from the specific contract to $5.92 billion. Boeing remains the secondary partner with its Starliner vehicle, which is expected to fly uncrewed in a few months before attempting crewed missions starting in the third quarter of 2027.
